This song study consists of 14 short, detailed lesson plans, taking you on a journey covering all 4 verses of the original poem.

In our song studies, we tie music and visual art together. In this study, you’ll also explore two paintings on themes connected to the song.

This song study can be done family-style with a range of ages, but the student pages will be most appropriate for an elementary-age student who can read and write independently, roughly 3rd-6th grade.
